From Phoenix Online Studios, the acclaimed developer behind The Silver Lining, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is a four part episodic game, engrossing narrative with truly evocative atmosphere. This chilling point-and-click adventure is a thought-provoking mystery following Erica Reed, a Boston-based FBI agent, haunted by the unsolved case of a serial killer who took her brother’s life. Taking a turn for the strange, Erica investigates her mystery with the help of her post-cognition abilities – seeing an object’s past with a touch. What unravels is a much greater, much more complex and enigmatic thriller, as it becomes clear that someone knows Erica’s secrets.
On Thursday May 16th, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller continues in Episode 3: The Oracle! In this episode, you won’t just be playing as Erica, but also as the killer who’s been playing games with her. Meaning we’ll finally know the answer to one big question: Who is the killer?

Do you know if we will be getting Steam keys for the Indie Gala Weekly sale that Part 1 and Part 2 were in? I do have Part 1 and 2 on Desura now, but they are not listed as steam keys on Indie Gala page or here on Desura. Thanks for the great game and congratulations on being Greenlit!
This is late but there are probably other people that may have a question about this, so if you redeem the keys Steam will give you a discount to get the whole season, I was wondering too and found the solution so thought I'd share it here too.
Do you think you can re-build for Linux?
Great game!
Its in Groupees bundle for $1, soon they'll unlock Cognition 2 too.
A question about this excellent game: I run it on a win7 64 bit system with first gen i7 cpu and a GTX660 gfx card. The system has 12 GB ram. Now, more or less every time I run the game it crashes on me a while in. The place is random but at the moment it happens att the first case after the introduction. In the room while I talk to all the people. Is this anything known to happen? I've tried to run the game in compatability mode (win XP sp3) but it does not help. Please advise...
I'd just like to add another polite request for a Linux version! I hope that some of the Linux sales will help with licensing of Unity3D version 4 (which, supposedly, has other very nice features for developers, as well). There just aren't enough graphic adventure games, but I'm happy to see this changing!
Dewd this game is so awesome, i am going to buy Cognition 2 as soon as i have da monay! :P Loved it, class Voice acting and story telling. Some lag here and there but thats nothing to worry about. You guys should get this :)
Checkout the PlayDB Video, if you are interested in this game
Thanks MiniDude! :D
People that got the game directly from Phoenix Online Studios will get a Steam key when the game is greenlit. But how about a desura key also, like the recent indie bundles?
Hi. MIK0
Yes, if you buy the game from our website you'll also be eligible for a Desura key.
That's great! I bought the game from your website with the season pass about a month ago. I should I proceed to get a desura key for it? Not that the drm free standalone setup is bad, but I like being able to choose and I though it was strange that only the steam key was included.
Hi MIK0,
Email support@postudios.com with your receipt or invoice #, and we'll send a key your way :)
Thanks!
Hi, so - since i´ve bought the episode key.. how can i use this now on desura? :=
Hi Nekator666,
As I told MIK0 above, just email support@postudios.com with your receipt or invoice #, and we'll send you the key. Thanks!
I am happy to hear this, since the the Phoenix Store makes you choose between the Mac and PC versions when you add the Season Pass Upgrade to the cart.
Hi asheskitty--
While the Phoenix store has you select what files you want initially, you do actually have access to both PC & Mac (and Linux, when we add that) after purchasing.
Yes, Linux! Please do! :-D
