This week myself and Kieran have been working on some more concept art and 3D assets (shots in the image gallery!). As you can see from these new images, the Naginata is nearing completion as Kieran finishes the high-poly version ready to render the normal map and apply textures. I've been working on finalizing the designs on the Japanese short bow- the Hankyu (see attached image).
Anyone familiar with archery nomenclature will instantly recognize this as a type of re-curve bow, made from Bamboo, animal hide and metal fastenings. Some of you may also point out that the hand-grip is placed a little too high. This was an oversight on my part, one that'll be corrected once I re-create the design as a 3D model!
Check back next week for further updates, including the completed Naginata and 3D model of the Hankyu!
Thanks,Sam
