Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
This is in q3bsp. The lighting is definitely better.. and the models can get the bump/specular effects in non realtime mode.
Of course r_shadows 2 just have to show through the floor/ceiling to the other side...
The alien colors should probably be done with different textures. Colormod also colors their claws and other bone areas, which should probably be grey in all of them.
Yea, and I've been thinking that maybe the stuff I have in the upper IBAR part of the HUD is a bit complicated. Would be much simpler if player only got the lower HUD.
Then I'd also remove energy being separate from shield, and stamina, air, and maybe the respawns are a bit useless too. Maybe player can stay indefinitely underwater, except acid and lava...
If I ever get around making a HUD with CSQC, I'd only do some minor tweaks to it... maybe add the owned/selected weapons and their ammo counters to the right side. Powerups could show on the other side. For now they would show in the armor/shield icon.
I like the green glow to the claws though...
