BHB is a 2.5d action platformer. The player takes the role of BHB, a BioHazard Bot whose job it is to perform tasks deemed too dangerous for humans. One day, an experiment in the facility where BHB was developed goes bad, unleashing a plague of strange creatures. As BHB, your goal isn't to escape to the surface safely, but to go deeper into the facility, clean up the mess and make the facility fit for human use once again. But what kinds of abominations will you encounter along the way?

New video update! This time we showcase the new gravity system in BHB. It's like 2d Super Mario Galaxy...

Hey guys! Today we're going to talk about the new gravity system! Back when I originally submitted BHB to IndieCade and when I first started showcasing BHB, I had a gravity system in place that allowed the player and enemies to walk up walls and stuff like that (you can see this in action in the original teaser trailer). It was a pretty neat system and worked really well, but it had a number of limitations (it only worked on flat surfaces for example, and had trouble at odd angles). Recently I implemented a new system and this one is pretty powerful, much more flexible. I had to do a little bit of research to get it working, but lo and behold...

Oh yeah, there's also this little game festival called the IGF. Maybe you've heard of it. Well BHB is a proud entrant in the IGF, both as part of the main event and as a student submission. The competition is pretty tough, I mean Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and The Stanley Parable and others are up there so... that's kind of dwarfing. Anyways here are the pages for both submissions!
