Hello everyone,

Welcome to the March update for Armored Core Limit Release, in this update I will be talking about the improved dev cycle and how things are going to work after the second draft of the script is released.

Plan, progress, produce, ???, profit
Its pretty obvious that by looking at the progression of the original OVA I completed back in 2012 that the planning and progress went out of the window really fast, I ended up trying to do too much and stretch the idea too far to please so many people and it all fell down and ended up with me producing a mess of an animation, most time was spent on coming up with ideas and trying to mesh the various AC universes into each other logically rather than producing a good animation and that shows in how its animated, how it was produced and how it looks in the final version.

So after doing a spell of work in the video games industry again in 2013 after my first taste of it back in 2011 I decided to rethink everything and started this project properly basing it off a standard video game production cycle, first off I gathered together criticism for the first animation and read over it all to get an idea of what people wanted, I then decided to focus on one specific universe from AC lore as I came to the conclusion that even though some fans want to believe that all the AC universes can merge together perfectly, they just cant.

After settling on the specific limitations of the universe I then began to develop the idea further, researching all the smaller events in the universe to see if I could make a movie based off the idea I had, I want to make it fit into the over all lore so that it would feel like a natural progression of the games story lines, so I started to document everything from official concept art to fan art and various other things that are close to what I imagine would work well and it became a large development document.

So now with the second draft of the script I am writing coming close to the end of production I am looking to expand the team past just three of us, I have tried this in the past and it has failed but I am hopeful this time.

So here is what we require...

Team job positions available

Storyboard Artist
Sky box Artist
Unreal Cascade particle effect creator
Unreal Material creator

Job Descriptions

Storyboard Artist
While developing Limit Release we require a storyboard artist to bring our ideas to life, as a storyboard artist you will be required to draw quick drafts of story board panels and then develop them to be full pieces of art that show off the detail and scale of the movie and help visualize what the movie will look like.

Sky box Artist
As a sky box Artist you will be required to paint sky boxes for the project, this includes multiple environments from the surface of Mars to space and also Earths atmosphere, we require an artist that is able to create fantastic sky boxes that are breath taking to look at to make some of the most important scenes in the film look amazing.

Unreal Cascade particle effect creator
As a particle effect creator you will be required to work inside of Unreal Development Kit with Unreal Cascade, the position requires you to create particle effects similar to those found in the games "Armored Core 2" and "Armored Core 2 Another Age" this position requires the user be familiar with cascade and bitmaps to create great looking particle effects that do not cause frame rate issues.

Unreal Material creator
As a material creator you will be required to experiment and create different material types for the various environments and set pieces in the movie, you will work inside of Unreal Development Kit with the material editor and will use it to help create realistic looking materials to help shape the visuals of the movie.

These are all the jobs available at the moment, all team members will be given access to the development documentation and the second draft of the script to read over and study to get an idea of the scope of the idea and also to use as inspiration for asset creation.

To join the team and help create content please contact me via our Facebook page, Youtube or Moddb.

And finally for those who have not seen it yet, this is the preview of the start of the movie without music or sound effects done in advance to display the start of the production and to show how much closer the project is sticking to the AC2 lore this time.

Thank you all very much, see you next update.

I would like to participate in your project as an animator.
This will look great on my portfolio, and I've been a die-hard fan of Armored Core for more than a decade. BRING IT ON!
