OVERVIEW
Apocalypsus is a faction-based, PvPvE survival game set in Kentucky. Players will choose a Faction and work with, or compete against, other players to contribute to that Faction's collection of resources. As players progress, their reputation will grow with their chosen Faction and they will be rewarded with equipment and/or cosmetic items. A winning Faction will be crowned at the end of each season.
BACKGROUND
The U.S. president is assassinated on live television by a rogue domestic force. In the ensuing chaos, a nuclear blast rocks the American Midwest. The grid is knocked out across the U.S.. As the days pass, with no messages coming out of Washington D.C. and resources dwindling, regular people become desperate. It isn't long before no one is safe in their homes. Within a few weeks, groups begin forming with their own ideas for how the country should rebuild. Their numbers grow quickly as they offer shelter, safety, and food - but everyone has a role to play.
DOOMSDAY IS COMING.
ARE YOU PREPARED?
Hi all! Just a quick update for you.
We've decided to change the name of "DoomsDay" to "Apocalypsus." Why? Well, the initial reason we began discussions regarding the game's title is legal issues. Specifically, the trademark for "DoomsDay" is owned by someone else - an expected issue that we should've avoided earlier on. Either way, we're excited with our new title even if it does take a little getting used to. "Apocalypsus" is a term packed with meaning and we look forward to sharing more with you about the game in the coming weeks.

Personally, I really like using a different color on the "us" at the end of Apocalypsus - placing an emphasis on the internal conflicts which have led to the downfall of the U.S.. Here's an example of this:
Alright, that about does it for now. We're in the middle of changing all references of "DoomsDay" over to the new name and it may take several days for everything to change over. Hopefully it's a relatively smooth process. We're excited about the new name and truly appreciate you following us on this journey.
