After sitting for a long time looking for tutorials on how to create good looking explosions. There is pretty much no good documentation on how to make nice looking explosions without DX11. But this is what i managed to create by playing around with brushes in GIMP and the particle engine in unity. The effect will be used in parts of explosions and perhaps on the burning wreckages of destroyed planes.
The missile effects previously were pretty dull to look at and did not feel like they had any weight to them. Now it looks more like the burning fuel is actually propelling the missile instead of it just being a smoke trail left behind it. The explosions are also new. I made them by reworking the new fire effect.
