Old school fun meets new school flair - 8bit graphics with real time shadows, particles, bump mapping and more. Gameplay has permadeath but with progression (skills, crafted items, professions, and proficiencies), heavy crafting influence, and more.
New infrastructure features since the last demo include: monster AI (pathfinding and attacking), ActorEmotes, full attack/defend flow with dodging/parrying/blocking, players start with equipment, ItemPowers (give buffs on equip), player classes are data-driven, player skills, CellEffects with lifetimes, and more.
Please note - this is not intended to be a playable game, but rather an infrastructure prototype as I continue to build up the foundation of the game. It demonstrates many core aspects of the game, but many more remain to be done.
Portions of the UI are (obviously :)) in vitro. You can move with the arrow keys, tap-to-move, or using the "Explore" button in the control panel. Number keys 1-2-3 for skills; I,T,C,S for various interface panes.
Run it like any other MSI and it’ll install into program files with a desktop icon to launch it (and you can uninstall it using the standard Windows uninstall programs UI). Note that it may pop the smartscreen warning when you try to run it; click ‘more info’ and then ‘run anyways’ to bypass it.
