Changes

Added:

  • Engine new strobing implementation from @fuzun. For details, see PR #353.
  • Engine secondary master server, yay! Thanks to @jeefo for hosting.
  • Engine: -safegl command line switch(see 515438c)
  • Engine: string pool statistics for 64-bit platforms.
  • MainUI C++: servers sorting by name, players, ping, etc.
  • MainUI C++: cancel button in player introduce dialog.
  • MainUI C++: add touch acceleration settings, now it is easy configurable
  • iOS: logs now printed to system log also.
  • SailfishOS: early initial support.

Fixed:

  • Engine: fix window maximizing on SDL
  • Engine: fix 16bpp on windows
  • Engine: r_vbo_dlightmode is introduced. Set this cvar to 1, if you're experiencing visual glitches with VBO world renderer and dynamic lights.
  • Engine: Possible RoDir glitches with mods and case-insensitivity.
  • Engine: Disabled PIC by default for x86 to reduce overhead.
  • Engine: fix crash in touch code after changing game.
  • Engine: fix possible UB with wrong touch_linear_look values
  • MainUI C++: fixed incorrectly showed 9999 ms ping when server responds in next frame after quering.
  • MainUI C++: maps.lst is regenerated when new map is downloaded.
  • MainUI C++: fix final credits rendering
  • Android: gamepad code fixes.
  • Android: tutorial code rewritten, APK is slightly lighter again.
  • Android: resolution changing improvements.
  • Android: fix possible hangs and crashes in retrieving external files path.

When using the Xash3D FWGS engine on PC, is there a way to enable or force raw mouse input similar to the option in Half-Life: Opposing Force, as it seems playing Opposing force on the engine without this input option makes it almost unplayable. Apparently, and I do not know how this problem even exists, only on the Opposing force Expansion, the mouse appears to "jitter" a lot. Thank you.

m_rawinput cvar - related to SDK, not engine. WON HL does not have this feature at all and original Xash3D does not have a such option in menu because does not have steam libraries support.
It's impossible to use raw input without steam client.dll library.
Xash3D FWGS does not have many options in menu too.
If you have bug with raw input create an issue at github: Github.com

Question. I am working on a HD graphics mod for HL1 using Xash. So I need to have the HD texture replacement feature that some versions of Xash3d or FWGS have. HL1 often works well, but Blue Shift and Opposing Force often have major bugs. Is there a version of Xash3D/FWGS that had HD texture support but can also allows you to play through Blue shift and/or Opposing force without gamebreaking/softlocking bugs

Materials system was moved to XashXT.
Thus you only can use old Xash3D version with render bugs or the latest original Xash3D version with XashXT 0.81.
