A small explanation of our game, what it's going to be and what we plan to do.

Hello, this is the first article our team as ever posted on IndieDB.It is dedicated to explaning the game and showing some of the work that's already been done.

This game is being developed for our university course's second year project subject. We aim to make a vertical slice that demonstrates the team's abilities.

Our project, Temple Plunder, will be a multi-player party game, with a focus on local co-op, where you must take as many artifacts from the temple as possible while stopping your opponent from doing the same. For this purpose, you will have a gun, which can only be used after a cooldown, so you must be careful with your shots.

Mockup

This is the very first gameplay mockup image made. When this image was created, the temple theme hadn't yet been decided on. Initially, the game was going to be about two rival moving companies, but the concept seemed too similar to an already existing game, so something else was decided upon, leading to the new temple setting.

Moodboard level

This moodboard more accurately represents the look we want for the game's environment going foward.

We have also started development in Unreal Engine, in this video, you can see our programmers first tries at making the character ragdoll, which is planned to happen when a character gets shot.

We hope this short introduction has interested you and made you look forward to what else we have in store. We will have a small introduction of the team coming soon, and hopefully more development to show.
