Today we bring you some modelling of our character, Ivy!
Creating Ivy's model, our artist only used Blender, and to texturize the details, he used Adobe Substance Painter (in case you want to know the technical stuff).
Anyway, after having all the sketches made, the next step was to start modelling in Blender
So here is how the model looked liked once it was completed (without textures)
Here it is! The final version without any textures. I will leave the "final final" (with textures) version at the end of this article, because first! I would like to show you how it started and how it ended.
Here is one of the firsts looks with colours:
With no hair, proportions a little off - No problem! That is fixed later on. Sometimes the model looks much more different with colours on, helps quite a bit to add some colour to fix these issues.
Here's another similar picture, but with a string of hair.
And here's the whole model again, with better face proportions.
And almost the final one...!
You can now see much better how the face looks, and where every colour is. But...! The final version is even better with the texture details, have a look!
You can visualize and imagine much better what the textures are supposed to be with the textures and details added. I love how the skirt looks like a dead leaf. And the cute top having a knitwear style, brings some comfort.
