Devlog #4| Game Narrative

Good to be here again Indie DB community!

Welcome to our fourth article where we will talk about our game Far From Sight, now in development.

Far From Sight (Previously Project Eye) is a game that tells a story of a person that suffers from scopophobia that escaped from society eyes and choose to be a forest ranger and live in a cabin in the woods all by himself. After a normal day of work, the oppressing feeling of being watched by someone or something wakes him up in the middle of the night.

Game Narrative

Far From Sight is a game that occurs in a forest in Europe in the 21th century.

This game tells a story of Sullivan, a person that suffers from scopophobia and decided to escape from society eyes and choose to be a forest ranger and live in a cabin in the woods all by himself.

He made the choice to depart from his family in order to live a more peaceful life in the woods where no one can observe him.

After a few months of working there and being used to that life, he receives a letter from his family.

Her younger sister Kylie and his father Clive, miss him and sent him a letter to wish him happy birthday. In that letter there is a photograph of both his sister and father with a birthday cake celebrating his birthday on their own.

Due to his fear of being stared by others, just the look of his family eyes on the photo starts to make Sullivan get nervous and anxious and set the trigger for all the events that happen subsequently.

The next day, Sullivan wakes up disoriented and feeling observed and starts to fight his fear all by himself in that cabin, fighting fears and traumas from his childhood associated to each of his relatives.

He refuses to get in contact back with his family and wants to restore back the safety that place brings him, refusing to ask for help and improve his condition.
