Seems the stand-alone version works, not sure how or why it differs from the version installed by the Desura client, but oh well at least I can try it out now.

Sigh, second game I've bought for Desura this week that doesn't work when installed.... This is why I hate using Desura, I hope this game gets up on Steam soon.

I am on a Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon desktop (64bit)
Java is the latest OpenJDK 1.7 from the Mint repos (also 64bit)
I am using the xorg-edgers PPA, so my Xorg and Catalyst drivers are also definitely up-to-date.

System wise I have:
CPU: AMD Athlon II 64bit dual-core
RAM: 8GB
Gfx: AMD Radeon HD 5670 (1GB)

I get the following error when I try and run the game:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: zombie/gameStates/GameStateMachine $StateAction

(note that I had to add spaces in some of the lines above because of Desura's inexplicable 50 characters per word limit...)

Before anyone mentions it, I have seen the silly suggestion of creating an NTFS partition just for the game and I refuse to do any such thing. I have other Java based games that run just fine without such goofy workarounds (most notably Minecraft).

May have spoke too soon about this launching. It shows the High Class Kitsch splash and then promptly crashes there after without giving any errors in the terminal.

Despite what I had said, I decided to try one more thing. I had just moved from Kubuntu to Mint a day or two ago and it dawned on me that I have not had a reason to install ia32-libs yet, so gave that a try and now the game launches at least.

Ya, I know how to symlink, and actually had already tried that, as well as just copying a few different versions of libGLU from some other games I have installed elsewhere to a few different places within my Desura dir, but it was no good, in some cases it would complain that it was the 64bit version and when using others it still acted like it couldn't find a copy.

This game really doesn't look like it is worth my effort to get it running so I am just going to forget about it for a week or two (at least till there has been another update) and then try again. Real shame too, as I had a few other people asking me what I thought about it when I said I picked it up and now I've really got nothing good to tell them yet.

Was about to give this game a try after picking it up from the IndieGameStand sale. Installed just fine, but it won't launch at all for me. Tried verifying it and that made no difference. If it helps any I am on Linux Mint 15 (64bit for both os and Desura install).

According to the terminal output it seems that it can't find libGLU: "error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I have it installed on my system, but I did notice that there isn't a copy of libGLU within the Desura install's own lib folder, so not sure if that could be the issue.
