yeah and sony santa monica and rare and double fine and insomniac and naughty dog and valve ... and 2d boy and ... ... and ...
well ... standing on the shoulders of giants ;)
there should be a "show controls" button to the right of the web player window. maybe that thing should always show no matter what.
a) there are new ones in that i just made a couple of weeks ago which i think are much better.
b) yeah combat is hard to implement we tweaked it around alot and there is plenty of new moves and stuff but work is continuing on this front all the time.
c) I think you have beautiful world design, but you should use something to support it. Why not add fog and or depth blur etc. Fog at least is the most simple and effective way to give depth to a world. I realised that on some screenshots you cannot easily get whats in foreground whats in background, thats because you did not use (little) fog. Same goes for underwater scenario...
unity doesnt support any fog volumes so one can just use distance fog which more often than not ruins stuff in the distance what i am planning to do is make a custom shader and add little fog sprites everywhere that fade out when they hit geometry that i can kind of paint fog into the 3d world like brush strokes =^รถ^=
swapping out the logo on the sails for the ship was something i had planned but the tech to actual do that doesn't exit yet so it wont be in the prototype !
thanks mate i am just glad the "re-compression of the video didn't destroy the quality too much ^^
thanks i was actually more thinking of psychonauts jak and daxter and windwaker personally !
its only a prototype with 3 levels and roughly 20 minutes game time and its gonna be absolutely free !
if publics response to it is positive we would like to make the full game and well ... yeah that we would sell! we dont know the price yet definitely not more than 20 bucks though !
