Is this mod still alive?

What i have seen so far is very very good. In fact i feel like this mod finally allows you to see the battles you always wanted to in ME3 but were cheated out of by that terrible ending.

Yes build times need tweaked as do resources but that's as easy as changing the numbers in a file...

That being said... I feel that the lack of downloadable updates as well as the extremely lengthy time this mod has been in production is beginning to kill the hype. Understand that this is not being said out of an attempt at trolling or the like but out of genuine concern as so many mods seem to die off and a very large part of that seems to be that the idea "I cant release it till its done in my eyes" gets in the way of it ever being released at all in any meaningful way.

If you don't believe me just check the lists of mods that never came out on Moddb and compare how many did periodic unfinished releases vs ones who didn't. The number is very disproportional.

All i am saying is, please don't let this mod die because of this.

I updated to new drivers and the problem is fixed!

I am using a Nvidia Geforce 450 GTS. could that be the problem? Its not really what i would call an old GPU but its not top of the line either.

I will update the drivers and see if that helps.

Ships and models render fine its only the backdrop that gives me a problem.

I was eagerly waiting for any release of this mod and i need to say it was WORTH IT! I know its Pre-Beta but if this is a sign of things to come then I see only good in the future!

I would like to point out something however that makes game-play difficult. The skyboxes have so many stars that it his my gpu like a HAMMER. I have a pretty good card and even have a Tesla unit supplementing it however those skyboxes can grind it to a near halt. I think perhaps you might consider a less graphic intense backdrop or at least offer a reduced setting on it.

Other than that however no issues that any beta program wouldn't have.

Also, I am wondering (based on an impression i got during install) that this favors ATI based cards. Now I personally prefer Nvidia architecture and have such in my system but that's just me. Still for Nvidia users is this mod "less friendly" ?

Yeah.... I'm not a lawyer and don't understand most of that. Especially this "legal vs Illigal association" stuff makes no sense to me.

I am just trying to understand what the benefits are (In layman terms) vs just being a group of people like before. I'm not saying it dosant exist only that i don't know what it is.

Sort of disappointing that your not planning to become a game developer however. was secretly hoping you were as it would be nice to see some original concepts in games again.

Why Incorporate? If you are doing all this for free and have no end goal for profit then it seems counterproductive to spend all that time and money in the legal field when you cant gain an end profit from this stuff anyway.

Is this a stepping stone to gain credit? because it seems to me like you are taking steps to become a full fledged game maker.

I don't see how we can fairly vote without seeing both side by side to compare. Its clear that your team is sort of bias in favor of option 1 in the description. However if we cant see both how can we truly say what we feel is better?

That aside i always wonder why people push Freud when not even one of his theories lasted more than 30 years before being called unfounded. If its wrong why teach it? Its like teaching children that the earth is the center of the universe just because that theory came first, then trying to un-teach it later.

This guy was probably the single most unnecessary persona in all of mass effect. He adds nothing to the plot, and actually detract from the story by trying to justify what amounts to an Anime NPC to what was otherwise a very realistic and well thought out genera.

This guy actually bothered me more than the infamous kid at the ending because i could partly justify the kids help as the result of a virus from the "Superweapon"

Also... It is actually possible to beat him in that first battle but the game cant take it and "pretends" you didnt.

The Borg "existed" yes but never made contact until TNG era. Some have tried to argue about one episode of enterprise but most Trekkies seem to consider that whole series as Non-cannon.

I DO agree that it would be nice to see some races even if they were only available in 1 or 2 era's however. well we can always dream.

any chance we will get to see a combat demonstration soon ( reaper was nice but its not a fight without someone fighting back ). this is already my #1 most anticipated mod this year.

On the note of funding (from previous comments) have you considered making a Paypal donations option?

Kick-starter only endorses projects that are intended to make money because they take a cut themselves. The only way they can due this without possibility of a lawsuit is to release it freely as a non profit endeavor.

If kick-starter wasn't such a corporate puppet and let people donate to anything regardless of end profitability it would be legal(at least to my knowledge). however that is not the case.

So everything is going to be mashed into an alliance? Or are only major races supported?

(Aka: Reapers, Humans, Asari, Turians, quariens, Geth)

I have to say "guest" has a point, mods that have the alliance theme just don't do it for me like individual races do.... Not that i won't download this anyway. :)
