I just finished the game and I have to say for an alpha its really cool, and has a ton of potential. I had a blast playing it.
Some suggestions & critisim:
- The buildings feel very empty, some (destroyable) furniture would help a lot.
- A compass would be nice
- more variation in the enviroments would be nice: how about some caves?
- There needs to be more varied missions, maybe more missions which require you to enter builddings?
- You could put the voxels to more use, I dont know if there is proper physics in the engine, but how about destroying buildings with stategical charges?
- The grapling hook feels a bit overpowered. Once I had it, I lost all fear of the deamons.
- I was able to kill the King pretty easy on lvl5. Im guessing he scales to your level, but still...
- While I like the overall aestethics, I think the weapons would look much better as 3d models.
- Nitpick: I felt the resolution to the whole deamon thing felt a bit flat (feeding of war...)
Please do not let any of those points detract from what I said earlier, this is a great alpha game! kudos to you!
Note, I just got the game and havent read the backlog of comments, so I dont know how much of this has been suggested or even shot down allready.
