SO happy to see you working on a new game! I was obsessed with Enola and we had a couple of nice PMs about it on Desura way back when. I will definitely be picking this up in early release stage on Steam, and will be sure to leave feedback (on Steam review section). Rock on guys!

Excited to play the remake of this game! Also I love the artwork in your game-it is one of the things that really makes it great. Curious as to why you changed the name of the game from "The Kite" to "Little Kite ?"I will post a review once I purchase "Little Kite" as well, although I am sure it will be fantastic too! Thank you for all you do and I'm following you on the gaming sites and can't wait to see what you make next!

Very excited for the updated version and the new goodies added in. SO- my issue is this: I have NH2 on Steam already and actually spent months begging all my Steam acquaintances to help me get it to work. Believe it or not we did get it to work with the help of a few awesome people including Hen7. Anyway, my question is when I go to extract the NH2.rar file into the Steam/steamapps/sourcemods folder, I already have a NH2 folder there from the other copy. Do I still extract this one to there, or do I need to make another one or delete the pone I have etc. Please let me know if anyone has any advice. Thank you so much!

I got the install to work. I struggled a bit, but it is working :) I am about to play now and am super excited! You're English is fine BTW, I didn't mean to offend you, and hope that I didn't. I was just saying how important it is to use the right words when conveying a great story is all ;) In everyday chat like this, it doesn't matter as much, and your English is totally understandable! Anyway, I am loving Mental Memorial so far and I am sure I will love this too. I also downloaded Insanity: Nocturnal Confusion 1 & 2. Based on what I have seen so far, they all look great! I will rate and review when I'm done! Thanks for taking the 1000s hours time to make free mods for us! =)

I saw the old pics, and it definitely looks better with the distinguishable colors between his machete and "clothes," and him. However, his face also needs to be more distinguishable too...he needs a face and facial features etc. I know you said he is this color to camouflage in with a certain environment, so I will take your word on that until I play your CS myself. At first glance, I don't like the colors, because he is very oddly and brightly colored, both his skin and his machete/clothes. So, if he must be these colors to blend into an environment, then definitely give him a new face or his old face back, and that will make a huge difference :)

Never mind, I think I found everything I need. I downloaded the AAMFP patch in case I don't have it. This really does look great!
Also if you ever need help with your English translations let me know. I know that the wording is a bit off in the description, not sure how much text is in the game though. I am not being a grammar nazi, just telling you because it really does matter.When you have a great game, it sucks to have to overlook odd English translations ect.
Anyway, just saying...hopefully I get this game going, I will let you know what I think when I am done!
I also played Mental Memorial, although I am not finished. The maps are great...as is the atmosphere and sounds etc....one of the jump scares was a bit "cheap" (the flashing image across the screen of a scary face right when you exit the 2nd floor elevator) but hey it did scare the crap outta me.
Anyway-wish me luck with the install and I will let you know! If you are interested in fixing any of the wording on this description, in-game, or on any other game etc, let me know! I would love to help! After all it IS the description that draws people into your game...then they watch the trailer etc... =)

Where is the patch? Is it included with the main download? I'm not seeing it anywhere here. A friend of mine downloaded this and she can't get it to work. I am downloading now and going to see if I can. It looks cool :) Please let me know if I need to download a separate patch!

I'm not sure what type of internet device runs on USB, but based on this comment and the one above that says "what means this>the application cannot be run offline", there must be an issue with your internet or your internet settings, not allowing this game access etc.

Ooooooh I am so excited for more! Yes, it's me the "Enola Stalker!" This game has been very special to me, and I can't wait to watch it progress and hopefully continue to get the support and ratings it SO deserves! I have played through many times through many builds, and everyone has been worth it. Amazing game, just as is, and I cannot believe how many more levels/endings you plan on adding-I am very excited! (PS Grammar Nazi here: description of this picture..says you have been very "quite" instead of "quiet" LOL)

That exact same error happens to people when they don't have HL2EP2 and I said that before I knew that eveyone's copy of NH2 was having issues. I was just trying to help you-and make a point about being nice to dev, didn't mean to offend you :P
So since you do know what you're talking about I was hoping that you could elaborate on what "crap" I have to copy and paste and into which folder in the steamapps/sourcemods/NH2 folder to get rid of texture error? I do not care about occasional in game crashes, just the texture issue fix would be amazing! TY :D

I actually talked with the dev and he had me try numerous fixes for days, and has even asked other friends that code to try to make a patch. Nothing has worked, and after days of trying he said there is nothing we can do for now. This happened due to the Steam update to HL2EP2 and he said that there is nothing he can do to fix it right now. Later this year he is going to try to move NH2 to Source 2013 engine which will fix the problem but he doesn't have the code yet. Sorry guys, no NH2 for awhile :(

Would anyone who plays this be so kind as to give me the layout for using an Xbox controller controller! I am actually using a PS3 controller, but have it set to emulate an XBox controller because that seems to be the setting most games with controller options use. So if anyone on here is using the xbox controller, OR emultaing one etc can you please just list what each button does. This game requires quite a lot of controls, and I cannot seem to figure out what the kick button is, and zoom in on gun sight, and a few other lesser used things I can't think of off the top of my head. BTW-I am loving this game :D ITS AMAZING-The blood spatter is both visually fantastic but also varies in form and spatter type. It's great! I haven't gotten too far through but from what I have played so far (I'm in the sewers of the hospital still) I love it :D

I don't see thay anywhere in the description...I looked everywhere, and just checked again..where? I even clicked the release news posting, where it ususally will say the requirements and it isn't there either. It IS complicated for people because it isn't listed right there and it is posted under the wrong episode of HL, as it is listed as a HL2 mod, when it is really a HL2EP2 mod. That very well may not be the devs fault, I don't know, but it is not "quite clear" that much I do know-Just saying ;)

It's only $7.99 on Steam and besides it is a GREAT game all by itself, and you also get to download mods such as this for free to boot. Can't beat that :D

PS-I just noticed it isn't just NH2 it is also Abberation too (another HL2EP2 mod). It is definitely a HL2EP2 problem, and unfortunately I know Steam won't fix it seeing as they never bothered to fix the issue with no dialogue in HL2EP2 for the counteless people who purchased it through them. Any ideas what I can do?

I know you have sorta moved past NH2 and are onto Underhell now (which is amazing BTW, and I am not a super action fan, but the mix of action and horror is just enough) I figured I would try to post anywhere here in hopes that you Hen or another player can help me. I should start by saying I HAVE PLAYED THIS BEFORE MANY TIMES, WITHOUT ISSUES :D I am not a newbie that didn't read the description about what I need to have etc.
Here goes: I am having an issue with the pink/black checkers on the menu and in game, everywhere it is supposed to be dark. I have HL2EP2, which I purchased through Steam, AND I was playing this game fine up until recently. I played NH1 (the one included with NH2) and began NH2 and now I don't know what happened. I chekced to see if I was enrolled in the pipleline beta which I wasn't so I figured that I would try to enroll in it but even after doing that it still wouldn't work. I DID notice however, that the missing dialogue that has never been fixed no matter what I've done for HL2EP2 IS now fixed, while opening it to create a new save file, since I never had a save file on it because there weren't any voices. I am super bummed as I sorta got lost in some new games and finally came back to complete this and can't- Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated! Thanks :D

The surface properties issue sounds like you either don't have HL2EP2 OR you have not opened HL2EP2 and created a save file. Also seeing as this is a free mod that has 1000s of tireless hours put into it, a little less demanding may go a long way! Just saying :D

You need to click the install button via the Desura.com webpage through your browser and not through the Desura program. This has happened to me with many games, and/or the Windows installers won't work. However, when you go to the Desura.com page instead it will verfiy the files and then launch for you. I just got the same error, and went to the website and tried it and it worked. :)

The description above explains that people that bought from Desura will NOT be getting Steam keys, they are only for those who bought directly OR bought one of the deals they were running (Teacup Special, Mitzi's Meal, or Susan's Ego). I never heard of any of the deals, and also bought on Desura, but am fine with not having a Steam key. I never really understood why people need multiple keys, except if you buy from a site that you can't play from (like a bundle site) and they want to give you as many options as possible, because not everyone uses Desura or Steam or GOG etc. I frequently see people asking about Steam keys on here though so there must be a reason. FYI this also has the full installer for Windows, so you can play without running Desura. BTW-Amazing game, one of my favorite indie games of all time, as is Downfall :D

Bought this today...am loving both Au Sable and Gyossait (haven't played the others yet). I cannot figure out how to save or if you even can. ESC just completely backs me out of game back to desktop, and I tried the F1-9 keys and they didn't do anything. :-( Is there a way to save my progress. I played for about 45 mins and then hit ESC thinking it would pop open a menu etc but no such luck. Now I have to start all over, so I figured I'd ask before I did :D

I responded to your article about guard impact, just FYI. I know you won't get notified of the response...I keep checking to see if anyone else has responded but not yet. I think it is a great idea! BTW..I am enjoying the new build immensely, but have found myself scared to play alone, like I am with almost all the other horror games I have! I am used to the older build and have had a couple good startles because things have changed. It is much scarier and the atmosphere has changed a lot-for the better :D suppose that is both good and bad...it's good because you will draw a larger audience with the real fear of a threat and a few jump scare moments looming, and bad because chickens like me only play in very small doses now. I searched for a LP of this game and could only find ones of the demo, and of a much older build (with a goofy guy that played up the lesbianism, and made jokes out of everything like a stereotypical teenage boy). I need to watch an LP of this game so I can prepare for the scares, like I do with other games. I hate being startled, and I know that is ironic given my game choices! That isn't what I like about horror games though-I like the atmosphere, the twisted story lines, the music, and the visuals. If I knew exactly how to make an LP video I would consider doing one myself (without the face cam of course, because I find that distracting from the atmosphere). I have no idea how, but I am sure that I could Google it and figure it out. There really needs to be a full game LP, broken into parts of course, that is serious-ish (at least a bit ;)) ..in fact maybe I will look into doing this! Ok-done with my rant, for now! I'm gonna go play, now that I have worked up some gusto.

I am running Windows 7..I am the administrator or thought I was because I am the only user setup on this desktop. Anyway I right clicked and did that and sure enough it worked..I can read the menu and WOW what a difference from 640x480 to 1600x900 LOL :D Thank you!!
