You should worry about the basics of your game for now. Like I said before. Just set up the basics first. Don't worry about storylines and plot right now. Unless it plays the part of limiting what pokemon actually show up in your game. To show your devotion you need to begin working out these basics. I've listed these things on the main page.

This is the the basics Quote:

"Anyway, you will need at least a basic start. So a game with a play field, character, and a few pokemon with a simple AI should do. Try at least two pokemon for now. This can help boost your popularity to get more people on your team. Coding and scripting is hard but you just have to work out the basic. Unless you got a coder or scripter helping already."

This alone will determine if you will get help. Some people are still sore after Pokegen's development halted. Since then, there has been many pokemon projects that started and fell with very talented people. I've worked with some of these people in a couple of the pokemon projects. These talented and devoted people lose hope in these projects when they see a repeated failure.

That's good that you will at least contribute to the main parts of the game. I've dealt with several people that wanted to click their heels and have a full on fan game base started without any background to a single field mentioned. Fan bases takes time but most important part is people that will help. Ideas are one thing but you need people to incorporate these ideas into the game.

Anyway, you will need at least a basic start. So a game with a play field, character, and a few pokemon with a simple AI should do. Try at least two pokemon for now. One thing I've seen is that people mix language codes together. Try a language converter or rewrite the code to the main language that is being used for the game. Do not mix language scripts and codes. Example, if you use C# then stick with it. Everything needs to mesh and connect together eventually, so a mixture will eventually corrupt your game. Unity has many tutorials that will help in the Docs and on any search engine.

Other than changing the name so there isn't any confusion. I believe that would be an awesome start and get the ball rolling! You don't have to do exactly what I tell you. But mandatory, use only one language for scripts. Buggy games work with multiple languages of script. Games can fall and fail for just this alone. *Main Languages used for Unity I've seen are C# and Java.

Good Luck and have fun!

Wished you were not making a fakemon game. Most of your designs can work well for their very own game. You could make a great profit. Then again you could be doing this for practice! Good luck and have fun!

May I ask what type of work you are doing, WolfTube? Are you a Modeler, Animator, Concept Designer, Coder, or Scripter?

I always like to help games like this. I've thought about it since pokegen. That was what got me started with 3D modeling and animation. I've helped a couple of collaborations but it seemed to die down quite a bit after the basics in the game was in place. Basic as in a play area, one character, and a few pokemon.

Coding the game itself is flawed in general. Yes, it works with the Nintendo 3Ds but games that are made in a system that cannot take the load will not work. In the 3Ds games, you don't see but a couple of pokemon on the screen instead of hundreds. Simple games that has a few pokemon may work but each pokemon is a mesh. Each mesh needs a new texture and to load this would need a dense compression for it to work. Also sounds for each pokemon that needs to be compressed. Then it is individual meshes, textures, and sound for human characters, buildings, sceneries, and etc. to be compressed.

I never tell these troubles to the collaboration groups but they seem to know after they get to that phase of the game. I am always optimistic that someone will someday make a 3D pokemon game. Which will have at least one working area and at the very least ten different pokemon. A working area meaning to have a working PokeMart vender to buy items from and PokeCenter to heal your pokemon.

Post what you have instead of boasting what you don't have, please. People will notice the dramatic change between the original Pokegen to your project.
You will end up attracting more negative feedback than the helpful ones.

You know there are more pokemon projects that may need help?

Pokemon generation was not contacted by Nintendo or Gamefreak. Xatoku was the main guy that implemented the assets and code into the game. He was the only guy that had the main build of the game. When he left then the resources did as well. All art from the artists remained with them unless the artist was willing to give assets to other developers. This is when Planet Pokemon came out a year to two after PokeGen went down.. There was quite a number of people from PokeGen that started Planet Pokemon... Pokemon Journey came out in 2013 and died out around the end of 2014. Main moral; Projects die and more will spawn. Life intervenes and you need to take care of that first.

Forums had been deleted because over time of inactivity by freeforums.org while back. Project has been dead quite a while now since the last release. Major deciding factor is that it was not a money maker and held no profitible future.

The "recent" build "Pokémon World 3D Pre-Alpha Ver. 0.0.003" has no longer been updated and will not be updated. The upcoming build will be ultimately different to that past build.

The game still lives and being worked on. Just wanted to point this out if some are wondering about the month to month blog being postponed.

Nothing is set to be announced publicly. Unless said by DRRosen3 himself.

As Tuxintuxedo said. They won't leave for something over they don't even know. Best to pitch the idea for others to see. Another thing is to have a concrete base of what you want. "Is it a fan game?" "Any profits? Is it legal to earn profits of your design?" "Do you have anything to show for your claims?" etcetera. If it deals with anything that is already copyrighted then you have no ownership. Therefore profits are nulled. Also, a future cease and desist letter might come if it is fan related. Recently, 3D pokemonbase fan games hasn't been ceased because of a letter. It will all depend on the franchise and the project's future plans if that would occur. Meaning, depending if the franchise or maker of the copyright will allow it; And/or the project maker's choice of plans of what happens that would fringe those laws.
