I'm waiting for Gunslinger mod which will bringa lot of immersion with new animations. I'm realy not satisfied with old animations since they feel cluncy as hell...

The main problem with them for me was the low damage which I caused when I shoot enemies. They can kill me from a long distance, but for me it was difficult and that's why Alternative Balance is very important for me. Also, the weapons were made back in 2003 or 2004 which have been good enough unfortunately game was released much later, however, there are multiple mods which change them (only Shoc has a very few of them, but for me OWR 3 is much more than good enough). I would love to see Gunslinger for Shoc and CS too, but that would take a lot of time for them so COP version will be more than good enough (combine it with Call of Chernobyl and you have one of the best games).

Me too, but that will take some time. However, even if it would be released I would probably not use it for the first playghtrought since I want to have Vanilla+ experience.

Btw: You should check out the mods like Original Weapons Renewal 3, Arsenal Overhaul, STCoP (STCS for CS) Shoker and GSC Weapons Remake (CS, COP) which are also a great weapon mod.

This effect it's awesome, but unreal in some part. This sky and this sun should bring some more light into this ambient, instead be like during an eclipse. Look the shadow, it's to much defined and dark for the distance and the real light in mid day, but lot of modders aren't good observers of reality.

That's true, but that mod only changes the sun and the fact that it shows all the time, but not the lighting. It does add sun rays to the inside and it's very good at that, it doesn't add more lighting like some other mods. Mostly the visual presets like the SweetFx or Enb. However, for things like this it would be better to have mods like Interior lighting overhaul.

Also, if you want, you can track me since you comment often.

Yes, with some tools we can adjust colours and light ambient. Personally I dont use anymore this stuff, too much heavy for my 5 years old pc ahah

That depends on a preset which you choose and my friend still has PC from 2010 and he can still run almost every game on max. However, he builds a really expensive build. Also, these Sun rays don't change performance at all or at least I don't see any difference.

And this is mostly a Vanilla game with a two texture packs (structures and nature) + godrays mod (other mods doesn't affect graphic) and I played only on DX9. With Dx10 there are some other amazing effects, but most of them are on Dx9 too, and unfortunately Dx10 is not very stable for me.

Description

Like with the Shadow of Chernobyl I completed this game just yesterday and I was a little disappointed with it. I would love to endorse it like the Shadow of Chernobyl, but it's much more about shooting and quickly doing some quests (defend location or attack a place).

If you didn't play this game (or you even don't know this game) I would recommend it, but only if you are a great fps player because it's really hard and it's definitely not for beginners and it has also spoilers for Shoc so I highly recommend playing Shoc first. However, I use alternative ballistic from SRP which (one of my favorite features) makes fights much harder however enemies are not bullet sponges then.

Just like in previous game I used Absolute texture packs (Absolute Nature 2 and Absolute Structures), Sky Reclamation Project, Clear Sky Minimods (Water fix, Realistic flashlight and Alternative Inventory), Faction Wars Respawn Fix 1.01, Minimal HUD and God Rays (aka Sun Shafts) Mod (Alpha) since the Sun Shafts are only at morning or evening and I like them to see in the whole day.

Overall Clear Sky is a great game, but I highly recommend using some bug fix mod like SRP which is definitely one of the best since it fixes most of the bugs (especially the game breaking so even if play the game first game you can use it and its way better than complete or any other mod at the first playghtrought).

In a far future I will definitely write a review, but first I want to complete Call of Pripyat which will take some time.
