Originally I want to use Master Effect, but that's not possible since it has a terrible DOF and it can't be changed, so I have to use Reshade.

Also, I really want to make some reviews, but Moddb doesn't notificate anyone and I'm waiting when its fixed and when its fixed I will start with the reviews.

wow very nicely done! and you still have way over 100 fps, mostly ~150 and more, what is this for a machine ?

personally the additionally DOF effect makes me headache, because i create byself by focusing with my eyes a natural DOF, but the additionally DOF on screen cause me a instant refocusing. can you really play with that effect ?

My new PC: i5 4690, R9 280X and 8GB RAM from Kingston.

Well, that's bad for you. I love this effect (if it's done right, of course) in some of the new games. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with mods or Fallout with some ENB series has DOF like that so I want it in Far Cry 1 too and thanks to Reshade I have it. Unfortunately It can't be combined with Master Effect with is a shame.

so the question is:
Moddb.com

can you take a look and post your FPS ? (without any post effects, only original game, so i can get a view about actual hardware :) )

Description

As I promised here is the Reshade Preset for Far Cry 1 with Depth Of Field

Since last two months I tried to make some visual good looking Depth of Field with the Enb, Reshade and the Master Effect like in some modern FPS games. Unfortunately the one in the Enb doesn't work at all since it's the version for most of the games, but Far Cry 1 doesn't work well with that Enb so I have to choose the other two options. Master Effect has unrealistic DOF and when its active its either on the upper or the downside of the screen and that's very unrealistic. Master Effect has, also, a third option which gives DOF only on the distance which also unrealistic because when you use binoculars it looks terrible.

60 fps version ( Youtube.com)

Only the Reshade has a good working DOF, which unfortunately can't be used together with the Ambient Occlusion from Master Effect. Of course that Reshade has some basic Ambient Occlusion, but it's only a basic one and it's nowhere so good like the one in the Master Effect.

Depth of Field has also a problem with the broken shader. It's not so noticeable like with the Ambient Occlusion, but when you use Iron Sights and walk its very disturbing since it's much more noticeable when you walk. There isn't a problem with very low framerate like in the AO, but I'm not recommending to use DOF when you use Iron Sight and you also walk.
