Description
Funfact: the no.1 MK.III SMLE was nicknamed "Smelly" by the english WWI and WWII soldiers. This was due to the sound similarity of the achronym "SMLE" with the world "Smelly" ("stinky"). Another legend about the nickname was that the oil used to stain the wooden stocks of the Lee Enfield was quite "smelly", hence the nickname.
