You do realize that artbots aren't really designed for combat right? A tank designer can't just make a pretty tank and unleash it upon a war, he/she looks for every aspect to adapt it to the battle. Making an art bot is hard, making them viable is even harder and that is a worthy challenge indeed.
I am not just defending this game, I also define its issues.
Personally I see no problems with the game, even with balance, except for one glaring issue: MATCHMAKING. Some bots counter other bots (AA vs aircraft, equal amounts of hovers/tanks, etc) But the matchmaker is really lackluster. I see All Air vs All ground no AA and that is one painful sight to behold. Also painful is platoons or "parties" of bots of a specific type tipping the balance cause the counter-platoon produced by matchmaker doesn't have the required counters (eg: Tesseract Platoon needs dedicated AA to keep it even). The game really needs a relation between Aircraft and AA unlike the current match-**** we have now.
Otherwise I see no problems, fun to create and use mechanics in ways not done before, fun to make replicas sooo much fun.
