This is the first Alpha build with the integration of the animation and AI. Unfortunately, there's bound to be some issues. We appreciate the review! Keep 'em coming :)

Much of what you're asking will be undisclosed, but no, mostly - death is not an option unless you end up jumping off the highest cliff or drown yourself.
The fear-factor of the game is a build up, the farther you play, the more suspenseful it will be.
Indeed. The control have not been adjusted much from Unity's default. The music has not been implemented, nor any audio.
The demo is to simply show the game mechanics and the overall layout of the island! Alpha release is nearing the end of the year so we'll have a lot of time to work on these various things.

This is a demo, the first build from Unity. The environment and game mechanics have been built but not much else. We're releasing everything on our facebook as well reddit page with game updates.
