Did you check out the other download on the downloads page? The .zip download for the game does not include the source; maybe I wasn't clear in my speech, and for that I must apologize. I checked the other download though that is supposed to have the source and it was there, so I'm guessing your problem is not looking in the right spot.

K guys, after being drowned by the demand of two people, I have decided to release the source Game Maker file for Crawl. Check it out on the downloads page.

Also, Playinithard, thanks for making that video! Free publicity is beautiful.

In regards to the engine, Crawl uses the 3D components of Game Maker 8.1; everything else, including the way levels are generated and gameplay logic works, was designed by myself in GML. If there is demand I might release the source, but it isn't very pretty.
