Will check the website, most likely purchase it whenever I can (as yes... even at $3, I'm kinda tight thanks to everything I've ordered these past days.. $3 is $3!).

Try out ∀kashicverse, Hellsinker and Radio Zonde, then come back to us. (by the way I love Touhou, but these kind of comments are just.. overused).

For those having problems, try downloading the EXE installer instead. Strangely enough, I've often had issues with starting games from Desura, however no problems with the installers.

Though I still have a problem nonetheless.. the game won't recognize my X360 controller. Still playable with the keyboard, but this type of shmup plays much smoother with a gamepad.

The question is.. is it worth it if you already have Raiden Fighters Aces on X360?

Change the resolution from the in-game graphic options. I have the same problem (also using Win7 x64) with the config tool, but changing them in-game instead saved my resolution to 1080p (although I considered keeping it at 800x600 because the game is made in 4:3, and having it on 1080p makes it look a bit stretched).

Ouch, now that's some requirements. I should still be able to run it without much problems though, just not with everything maxed out. I'll probably stick to the current patch though seeing as this will likely require a new game and I don't feel like scrapping my current playthrough.

This will definitely, however, go into my subsequent playthrough. You should make one for CS and CoP too in the future :p

Ah, good old MCF error. It isn't related to the game, but to Desura itself as far as I know. It used to happen for several games following their release (including Eryi's Action).

Run the game outside of Desura (in other words, start the game from where it is installed on your computer, rather than starting it through Desura). Or download the game's package and install it without using Desura. See if that fixes the issue.

You level up while you fight, but it only enhances your power/abilities. There's no actual RPG elements as far as I'm aware, mainly hack & slash.. or as it says in the description really "high-speed, hack-and-slash arcade action game" defines it pretty well.

Maybe that's how he got most of them. I hope Desura doesn't turn into Steam, where in every game's forum there's someone asking for people to gift him the game. The worst is that it probably works, otherwise I don't see why they'd keep doing it.

Bought it from the website directly just now. Excellent little game, completed the Story on Normal, though I'm guessing where it truly shines is in the Endless mode.

It doesn't seem to enjoy the X360's joystick diagonally though.. seems like she stops moving whenever I do move the stick in a "perfect" diagonal position. Not a big problem though.

You should try La Soeur de Barrage if you enjoy mouse controlled shmups :]

For now I'm running the Winter Edition mod, but Frozen Sky really is the one I was looking forward to.

Doubtful, the original was Windows only. Unless Edelweiss decides to make a MAC port, it won't happen and I haven't many Japanese doujin games available on MAC.. actually I think I've never seen any -_- but then again I don't own a MAC so I very well could be wrong.

Most likely because it's not localized. Unlike the other games it wasn't possible to localize it, so it is sold as a 'Japanese import' only.

Nyu Media doesn't develop these games, they localize them for those who can't afford to import or those who want them in English (with, of course, the proper agreement from the original developers/publishers), so they can't do much about anything other than the text.

If you really feel like it though, Astro Port are the developers of Satazius.

Speaking of which, today I received my copy of Muchi Muchi Pork!/Pink Sweets for X360. Not the best port out of all their games, but I couldn't forgive myself for not owning another region free game from CAVE :p

I'd have to agree with what you said about Touhou, though the one thing I personally love of the series is how beautiful the bullet patterns are. Sure, they aren't always difficult nor challenging (although I'm not all that good at shmups) and the games are very simple, especially to veterans, but man are they pleasing to my eyes, which is why I like TH.

You should give it a try, its an excellent game.

That aside, I love TH myself, but I'd be more tempted to call eXceed2nd an Ikaruga clone before calling this one a TH clone :p

Strange, not sure what could cause this. What I do know is that the save is in 'Desura\Common\eryis-action\system\'

Maybe make sure the save isn't in read-only? I don't see why it would be but I'm not sure why else Desura couldn't access it.

Yep, I wonder when the Desura team will fix that. It's impossible to download the stand alones through the client, always have been for me at least, no matter the game.

I also think the MCF error is on Desura's side but I'm not certain of this, all I know is that it happened with other games before.. I love Desura but they are really lacking when it comes to updating and fixing.

I had the same error. I download the zipped file and extracted the files where Desura installs the game, then verified the install files through Desura and you can launch it fine and everything through it after.

I don't have a proper solution though :/ That's how I did it lol.

Well it's 11 stages including the bosses really.. dunno where's the 12th one, unless they consider Eryi's house as a stage or the title screen secret stage (well I heard it could be accessed, haven't done so myself).

There's also a secret mode you need to unlock. While I have unlocked it, I wouldn't want to spoil the secret for others who didn't unlock it yet :] But it's nothing terribly big.

Still an extremely fun game though :]
