Welcome to the 4th Annual Indie of the Year Awards sponsored by Desura, a celebration of the years finest indie games chosen by you and us. For the next 4 weeks it is up to you to vote for your favorite indie games so that they may make the top 100 which will be announced on the 11th of December. There are over $15,000 in prizes. Who will join Chivalry: Medieval Warfare last years winner, which now sits alongside Minecraft the inaugural 2010 victor. After more than 5 million visitors and 49,274 votes nominations have ended and the Top 100 is underway. Congratulations to the games that made it in this year (see also top mods and apps). But its not over yet, now another 10 days of voting begins as the Top 100 Games battle it out to crown the 2013 winner. You have up until the 21st of December to place your votes, so get playing and get voting!

Popular picks this year include Space Engineers, Project Zomboid, Pixel Piracy, Starbound and The Stanley Parable.

Just so you know, the IndieDB of the Year logo @ Indiedb.com blocks the sign in drop down panel if you try to log into your IndieDB profile

The awards are announced periodically over the course of the next several days, ending on Christmas with the Mod of the Year/Indie of the Year Awards (I think that it is either the Player's Choice or Editor's Choice that goes last; not sure). So you will see other awards like "best upcoming" and "best art direction" etc first. I think.
