Semifinals, WB and LB final results
The semifinals were played between fisume vs PCLizard and L0 vs Mirio, with PCLizard and L0 winning respectively. You can watch the matches along with their commentaries on morfar's twitch.tv account.
In the winner brackets finals PCLizard won against Lo after great fights on 3 separate maps (Warfare, Xoylent and Final Rage). You can watch the matches with commentaries from kojn and Mirio below:
The loser brackets finals were played on the maps Warfare and Darkzone between fisume and L0, with the winner turning out to be fisume. With that win fisume earned a ticket to the grand finals! GG for both players and congrats to L0, who wins 3rd place in the tournament!
The first Xonotic 1v1 online tournament ends on Sunday 19.02.2012 20:00 CET, when fisume and PCLizard will have their ultimate showdown to decide who'll be the winner of the GRAND FINAL! The matches will be played at the regular place (the eXile 1on1 Tournament Server X), and as usual, there will probably be a screencast too. For more information check out the tourney thread on the official Xonotic forums, or join #xonotic or #xonotic.pickup on IRC (irc.quakenet.org)!

I think that with different weapon model, sounds, ammos and game speed we can obtain a Unreal Xonotic I. Who's with me? I mean, to cooperate to create such stand-alone mod.
What would be the point in that? I mean - if you want UT, then just go play UT, it's really cheap currently, there's no point in making a direct clone of it. Otherwise just contribute to the main Xonotic game - it's not yet finished and it needs new models, maps, etc content. If you can create that, then you will be very welcome in the community. Peace ;-).
Great game, two thumbs up. Been recommending this to friends, I'm loving it and I think they will too.
Cheers!
I find using SDL usually fixes any sound issues. Also make sure that if you have multiple sound cards you have the one you want selected as the default one in pulseaudio and kde settings (if you use those).
Let's first answer the which to run question: SDL and GLX (for linux) are different sublayers that talk to stuff like your graphics card, your keyboard and mouse. We supply both of them, as it varies a lot on different hardware which performs better and in some occasions either one will have bugs. We generally recommend SDL these days, but if you get poor performance or input issues - try GLX.
Your sound issues can be related to the same thing. But generally sound in linux is a touchy subject, and I cannot give you an easy fix. If you use pulseaudio, try getting rid of it and just using ALSA.
Also, why does it always say "Not Installed" in my Desura game list?
