WG Realms 2: Siege Breaker is an action packed total conversion of Duke Nukem 3D, by William Gee (level design), Dan "DeeperThought" Gaskill (coding) and "Cage" (original artwork). You don't need Duke 3D for this; just download and play! WGR2 is the sequel to William Gee's masterpiece, WG Realms.


The now released first episode has three huge levels with some of WG's best work to date, including a variety of breathtaking environments with emphasis on nature and medieval themes, enhanced with new visual effects. You play as Duke Nukem, who has been transported to a fantasy realm where a human kingdom is under siege by hordes of monsters (some of which will be familiar from games such as Doom and Hexen). With a brand new suite of kickass weapons, inventory and abilities, Duke undertakes to break the siege so that he can return home to his own world.

WGR2 v2.0  Inlcudes a new episode by Norvak and a new userlevel by Micky CVarious new monsters and effects. New monsters so far include hellhounds and headless kamikazes. New effects include rolling boulders with realistic physics, pressure plates on floors with movable statues, and reverse gravity. We also have a growing number of models, with voxels to go with them for 8-bit users.

The new episode will also be making use of TROR.

What are the best settings to use for this TC? I'm on a pretty decent computer myself. Even though it's not my new 8core PC that is sitting here waiting to be built as I still need to get my motherboard RMA'd.

But this computer I'm on right now has an GeForce GTX 560 Ti an AMD Phenom II 555 callisto 2 core processor unlocked to three cores @ 3.8GHZ each. I also have a nice SSD for the OS drive and 8GB of DDR3 ram. But for some reason even when I disable polymer and just use 1600X1200 (which isn't the max resolution I can use) and then ramp up the graphics in the ingame menu I'm still struggling with FPS.

So what are the recommended settings for this game? Or should I just update my drivers?

Don't worry no one's abandoned it. We're working on it, albeit slowly and only when real life allows. There ought to be 3 new big episodes out when it finally gets released.

eduke32's new multiplayer code should be finished within a few months, eventually that ought to lead to things like multi-character coop! I don't see deathmatch being huge though.
