This is the demo of the wayholm game. There may be updates to come but up to a certain point when new content will be better deemed when it comes in a package of the full game instead of buts by bits.
update 1.0.1
There has been a slight performance update, the level has been shrunk to utmost compact size before it is visually noticeable, terrain shrinking and decreased foliage count, tree count and depth culling tolerance decreased. These changes affect mainly the amount of data your graphics card must render. Main performance draw on older machines come from the directional light (moon light) This may be avoided by baking the light-map, however, resulting in higher amount of high res light map textures at a cost of the exterior scenery design, shadows and detail which are of equal importance to the setting. Thus for the purity of the project goal, optimizing what is essentially the next gen engine to support previous gen computers will not be supported. This is the closest performance optimization that can be done on this project without depreciating what is already a fairly basic visual benchmark.
Instructions:
The game is a no-install version, just un- rar the archive into any folder on your hard drive and run the Wayhom.exe file. Due to the Engine being in mid development, it may ask you to allow access through firewall, which you are free to deny as there is no online content or functionality implemented in the game. The only reason it asks is because Epic games has not yet performed code signature which authorizes the engine and its games to access internet on a very basic level. until that is done, it's completely blocked by the firewall.
Average requirements:
OS: Windows 7 or later
Graphics card: DX11 (shader model 3.0) capabilities; generally everything made since 2010 should work.
RAM: 1.5 to 2gig
CPU: 2Ghz average power
