The same editors that you use to modify the weapons and items in Vox can also be used to create world objects and scenery. This is primarily used as a way of making your voxel worlds more dynamic and feel more alive, but will also serve some gameplay purposes as well.
Since everything in the game is modeled out of the same cubes, you can effectively build any kind of object you want to make your world look more beautiful...
Flowers, trees, fences, signs, walls, doors, windows, tables, chairs, bookcases, etc... The list goes on and on and is only limited by the players imagination...
Here is a video demonstrating this feature:
Oooh, nice nice. I like the idea of smaller cubes wit in the cubes to add much needed detail.
Thanks! :)
You know I'm beginning to dread seeing updates for Vox... because every time I see one it makes me more and more excited and impatient to get my hands on this game! =D
As per usual what you are doing is amazing!
Questions: How big are Vox "worlds"? Also will user created content be shared via some online system or do we access the game through a game client our end but everything is stored host side? (Hope that makes sense).
Sorry to take up your time. Keep up the brilliant work!

Hahaha, thats a nice compliment! The world sizes are basically as big as you want, infinite like Minecraft and other such games with randomly generated content. But I am planning to make quite a story based world to start with, so that will be limied in size.
Storage is all on your client machine, no online storage, but you will be able to share files and any player created objects with other players. :P
hope that helps.
Thanks for the clarification. Vox is now my top watched game on IndieDB. Certainly a triumph of programming skill. I wish I was as clever as you. =) Keep up the awesome work!
