Earth and the core worlds are suffering. Overpopulation and lack of resources are leading to unrest and desperation. That's where you come in. You've been recruited to colonize a planet more than 4 light years away. It's your job to save the human race from its own greed and consumption. The game is experienced from a top-down view allowing for the deliberate and creative crafting of every item, vehicle, and structure in use. Using a scriptable and dynamic artificial intelligence the AI Overlord will change up every aspect of the game. Nothing stays the same forever, making Worlds an addictively, dynamic experience with limitless replayability.

Greetings Settlers,

Release 0.9 is now live to our current closed alpha group. Here is the change log for all you rustlers that want a peak under the hood.

  • Items likes logs and crystals stack in inventory
  • player death is a lot better, it doesn't crash the game
  • got particle effects working again
  • made modding items easier with a single .xml file instead of a bevy of them
  • fixed bugs reported by our alpha testers
  • mouse is no longer captured outside of the game if it is not the active window
  • crystals were all displaying as red, that has been fixed
  • player was not shooting
  • miner wasn't spitting out crystals, it now spits them out again
  • rfixed a few player ghosting issues
  • inventory was not being saved properly when you saved from inside the car
  • logs would crash the game if you tried to equip them, so you can't do that now
  • mod file validation has been added to the load of each mod file
  • added a bush that produces cotton-like blossoms that can be interacted with to gather them periodically
  • When you put on equipment and save your game, then continue your equipment is shown properly.
  • Buffalpugs drop rare oil item
  • Buffalpugs drop rare horn item
  • Buffalpugs drop hide item
  • all active creatures and car could paick up items on the ground, now they cant
  • Miner can be dropped
  • Trees when chopped down drop rare fiber item
  • The station drop box now has a warning as to what it does with your stuff
  • The laser chainsaw is in the game, it can be held and dropped, attacks currently do nothing at this time
  • When you hit a tree with a car there is a butt of particles to indicate you are damaging it
  • fixed zooming to lock in at specific level to not let the player see the magic behind the world loading. :)
  • The particle system has been fixed, let there be blood
  • Fixed deploy-able pickups after death and save
  • Can Mine 3 types of crystals from the ground
  • Can Mine 3 types of metal from the ground
  • AI code clean up
  • Abandoned crates can be found in the world
  • Cave turtles now live in caves
  • Caves now have walls
  • our GUI screens now run based on gametime not on CPU/GPU speed making each machine run the same
  • Removed the sound for laser flying noise, working on a new sound that will not invock memories of a vacum cleaner :)
  • Fixed installer to not place random folder on your desktop
