Torsion is a shoot'em up arcade game with all the classics (huge waves of enemies, a lot of weapons and final bosses). The game is a 'tube shooter' in which the action is presented in a forced 3D perspective. It's the same perspective used by Gyruss with a significant difference: the camera is fixed on the player's ship and it's all the universe that turns around.

I've just released the first playable demo of Torsion. Torsion is a 'tube shooter' in which the action is presented in a forced 3D perspective. It's the same perspective used by Gyruss with a significant difference: the camera is fixed on the player's ship and it's all the universe that turns around. The engine uses only spheres to render all the 3D objects and to manage physic.

Instructions:

  1. move left or right
  2. use one of the three available weapons (cannon, lasers or guided missile)
  3. survive till the end

Notes:

  • this test level is very short (about 3 min.);
  • many features are disabled;
  • use joypad in dinput mode or key (arrows + z/x/c)
  • change input settings in options->p1 controls
  • only one guided missile can be active at a time, you shoot a second one, the first one explodes in the air.
