Through the Dead City is an open-world zombie apocalypse game. You must scavenge for weapons and supplies as you fight your way through a procedurally generated city. Along the way you'll meet other survivors who might join you. "The only way out is through"

This update focuses on adding a few important changes as well as some bug fixes. The main changes are the shared slots in the inventory, the safe house, new weapons, and a range for interacting with doors and objects.
Shared Slots:
Shared slots can be accessed by any survivor on your team. They're useful for easily sharing ammo between your survivors instead of having to constantly split your stacks. They also free up some inventory space for other items.

Safe House:
The safe house is the new starting area for the player (and respawn if the player dies). It has a fence around it that cannot be destroyed by zombies and always includes at least one bed. Beds can now be used to sleep for a few hours as long as the building they are in is secured.

Interaction Range & Highlights:
This one's pretty straight forward. The range for interacting with objects has been reduced. The player can interact with objects that are near any of their survivors. Interactive objects like doors and containers will have a green highlight when they're within reach and a red highlight when they're too far.
I've also changed the old guns and added four new ones. They aren't balanced perfectly, but there will be many more guns eventually, so these almost definitely won't be their final stats.
Here's a full list of the changes:
Thanks again to anyone who has played the previous alphas and given feedback; I look forward to receiving more! Enjoy!

Got the saves down to 52mb. Still more than I'd like them to be, but good enough for now.

Started working on game saves. So far it's going well, but the save files are roughly 100mb... Hopefully I can bring it down a bit. #TTDC

The survivors always spawn to the right, So they're hard to find going left. I forgot to change it when I added the new map. #alphaProblems

This is a very nice game. The graphics are very well made and the overall gameplay is good enough to get hooked on for an hour at a time. I'm sure this may have been on other players' minds, but online/LAN support would heavily boost the gameplay for me. The squad members' AI is fairly decent but at times they can get annoying - especially when you try to search a building slowly but your squadmate goes ballistic and rushes into the mass of zombies. Then again, I guess it's just me because I haven't used the command system in much depth anyway. Overall a solid 8/10 zombie survival game!
Do you have a ETA on the next update?
Probably about 2-3 weeks from the last update if everything goes as planned. The main feature for the next update is game saves (finished that up today), but I want to take some time to add a couple other things too.
hey dude you have a great progress this days and dude i have 2 suggestion
and i love your game.this is a great zombie game i played because i dont like L4D because it was so unrelistic i suggest that you will make the weapons realistic and add some crouch to make the weapon more accurate and add a feature that let you customize your character before start the game and add some body armor helmet that will look you like a Soldier, Police or Member of Swat Team it will make me happy great game.
and the Safe house id like to suggest that you will add some defense tower and stuff to buy for the safe house like stationary machine gun sandbags and some steel doors
There will definitely be character customization and more variety in the characters in the future. And I have some plans for the safe house but I don't want to say too much right now as they might change.
well you will suprise us in the future. Do you planning in the future to sell the game? adn some effect the the parts of the body of the zombies will fly out from their body and
falling weapon magazines
Yes, Once development has reached a certain point.
Nice
I like it.
