Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint. Grab your tools and go! You can do many things in Terraria: make weapons and fight off a variety of enemies in numerous biomes, dig deep underground to find accessories, money, and other useful things, gather wood, stone, ores, and other resources to create everything you need to make the world your own and defend it. Build a house, a fort, even a castle, and people will move in to live there and perhaps even sell you different wares to assist you on your journey. But beware, there are even more challenges awaiting you... Are you up to the task?

The game adds classic RPG elements with many of the elements found in minecraft. You can spend hours exploring, fighting in dungeons, building, digging, and so much more. It also contains combining things to make tons of stuff, from potions, to amazing armor and weapons.
Its a blast at first,(and hours later) but it becomes slightly repetitive. After you have amazing armor and weapons it can take a lot of the fun out.
But overall I'd have to say the game is definatly worth your time and money.

What the game has going for it
+Cute
+Bosses to kill
+A fair bit of legendary weapons and armor to find
+You can upgrade your health
+Moddable
-+Can't upgrade any other part of your character. You'd think 2D Rpg's would have learned from CV:SoTN by now. We need some kind of character progression.
-+Little variety in enemy types, fact is enemies get repetitive early on and it takes awhile before you find the new areas where you get different enemies
-+Randomly generated worlds aren't that different. Its supposed to provide replayability but you end up just digging, mining through more rock into more slightly different looking caverns. The weapons/items you find aren't all that random. You can find chests but what find is usually very limited and barely what you call "random". Potions seem to come in ~20 varieties but thats about as far it goes
-Building... very limited what you can build. Even for people who love building, you'll get bored pretty quickly.
-Characters all look the same. Sure you can change the colours but they are the same character model wise.
-No recognizable story. It just feels rather lonely and you don't really know how to proceed even once you find the "important structure". So you spend a very large portion of the game merely mining.
-Multiplayer is rather limited, the options to prevent other players from joining and so forth is quite strict.
-Movement is rather painful, you have to jump all the time, even for 1 block. So stairs are something you must jump over?
-No way to reverse mouse wheel, for some people this can be really annoying.

I'm really into this game, Terraria. The atmosphere and feel of this game is like no other, truly a period-piece in gaming. The only things I'm not impressed by when it comes to this game are the sounds, and at times the controls. Otherwise, the gameplay is addicting!

Love this game, it has A LOT of elements, but it becomes repetitive after obtaining the hallowed armor. Anyone knows something about future updates, maybe?

This game is totally brilliant! One of my most played games ever. I wish it had some real end-game, but I still give 10/10 to this masterpiece.
