EL Dorado - Gold Bullion Thread - Survivalist

So i'm on about the 13th phase of this quest, where you must persuade Kate Barlow to tell you where the gold is. The trouble is that i finally get her to talk after showering her with gifts and gaining respect amongst the people of Los Ceros, but she comes at me with open arms and shoots good Ol' Joe dead.

I've tried wearing body armor, raising her approval of me into the 90's, luring her out of camp and getting a zombie to kill her so i can loot her corpse for a key. I just don't know what to do?

Maybe one of you other members must be a sacrifice to progress this quest? 100 approval? I have no idea.

I know this thread is old but there is an alternate route to sacrificing a team member, although I don't think it was an intended path so mutch as an oversight.

You can make her like you and then shake her down a couple of times until she hands over her equipment. Then when she tries to shoot you, she doesn't have a gun and despite delivering the line "oops my gun must have gone off accidentally!" your character lives an you can then force her to give you the key.

One note, it is still a good idea to have another teammate woo her and then shake her down so that you don't experience a reputation loss with Los Ceros.

Is sacrificing a survivor the only way? (besides killing her during the los ceros war)

Kiln223 - Ooh, that was an oversight, although it's quite a clever one. Maybe I should incorporate it into the game properly.

Apart from that, yes sacrificing someone is the intended path.

Is there Anyway To Get her approval? Or even make her fear Me without me going to war? I already Threaten Chris to get an RPG....
