This is an unlockable mode in the game which lets you play against a friend in a local 1 vs 1. The goal is to make the opponent fall off the scenario or bring down his energy.
The same rules as in the normal levels apply! So you have to watch your energy as it will be necessary to use items and the Hyperactive Mode.
