Steel Storm is a top down arcade shooter with old school spirit. The game has score oriented competitive gameplay, and is designed for people who like fast paced action, hordes of smart enemies, destructible worlds and ground shaking explosions. The events take place in an alternative universe where you control an advanced hovertank, packed with the most advanced and sophisticated weapons. Your task is simple, but nevertheless not trivial. In the fight against extraterrestrial invaders, you must prevail! Key features: * Enjoy fast paced and streamlined gameplay * 20+ hours of gameplay * Engage in online warfare with up to 16 players in any of the multi-player modes * Pave your way to victory with the burning remains of your enemies through 25 different campaign missions * Complete Challenges and unlock First-Person camera mode * Create new missions or modify existing ones using the unique real-time collaborative mission editor and share them with the world

After being under the radar for about a month's time, we are surfacing again. We do this to let you know that the official Steel Storm website is now open for business ( Steel-storm.com ) and our public beta is on its way.
The original plan was to release the public beta today. Unfortunately, I discovered a couple of nasty bugs that need to be taken care of before the release. I am not sure if we announced it yet, but Steel Storm is going to be released in episodic format with Episode I being released for free. If you like what you have seen of the game so far, and are looking forward to see the rest of its world, and looking forward to tearing the wicked enemies apart, you can pre-order Steel Storm Episode II right now.
Nothing can substitute for the real gameplay experience, however, so please enjoy our new video and screenshots, while we finish ironing everything out to deliver to you.

but, i do understand that you first need to take out all bugs.
