Platformer that focuses on the atmosphere and exploration. We want to make something cinematic and very detailed to thoroughly describe the world of robots.
The character sprites and boxes seem a bit at odds with the minimalist style. I realize as you said before, you prefer it this way, but it just seems like two tones colliding. Sort of like, for lack of a better example, putting Bioshock NPCs in a Super Mario level.

It does look a bit better when it is larger scale.
