Some suggestions Thread - Solar War

Nice game so far but as a colour blind person the colours are driving me crazy at times. Dark red on a black background brings stelth to the game...

And in the research page the colours are to weak so I can't see the differns between them so I have to check every object by hand and see if it's researchable or not.

One more thing that bugs me is that in some menus you have a close button but in others you have to hunt for the minuscule little x in the upper right corner and for me it's brings the enjoyment down.

I'm going to buy the game anyway though.

Many colors, including text colors, can already be changed through the theme file. A small number are still hardcoded, but I'd be glad to move specific settings into the theme as well if there is demand for it. After dropping a new theme into the resource/ui directory it will automatically be available in the graphics settings. Searching for "color" and "tint" should bring up all of them.

Many popups can be dismissed by simply clicking outside the popup. About the only ones where that doesn't work are those where you might lose work (ship designer) or it's important that you don't accidentally skip over the message. Also, the escape key should usually get you out.

Ok, Im mega impressed by this game. Im not sure how complete it is yet but i thought i would make a few suggestion.

1) Sound, especially in battles. This is the most important thing at the moment. IMHO.
2) Editable sprites for ships, or at least differing ones between races.
3) Diplomacy bewteen races.
4) Officers nationality, age and moral. Moral could be affected by things like thier nations attitude twords you, being passed over for promotion and high attrition amoungst officers ect.
