Hey,

I just re-dowloaded the game after having not played for a few months and I like the interface changes, but when I got into battles then none of my units' abilities show up in the unit window when I select them. This makes me unable to use any unit abilities, which puts me at a severe disadvantage in combat. I am using the current version of the game as downloaded from Gamersgate, and I meet or exceed all of the hardware requirements as listed, though my OS is Windows 8.

Hey :) thanks for your compliments, interest, and especially for your bug-report!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, the first thing that comes to mind upon hearing this is the 'level' of your units; you mentioned you haven't played in a few months and when the game moved to Beta 'level-ups' were implemented and units lost access to their abilities until they hit level 3 for the first one and level 6 for the second. (This goes for enemy units as well). Having the unit's required structures built enable you to recruit that unit at level 3 instead of 1 so it should have at least one ability available. Otherwise units gain Exp from battles to level up.

If this is old news to you I'll have to dig deeper into the problem, because I'm building the game on Windows 8 and it runs fine here. If this is an interface problem you can try this; with a unit selected hit the 'A' key to cast the first ability or 'D' to cast the second, those are the hotkeys for the unit abilities and bypass the UI.

Let me know if any of this helps and I'll look into the matter on my end as well.
Cheers,
~ Heftig.

Oh, I had no idea about that change! That's totally what it was. Thanks for the response, I really enjoy the game and am glad to see that things are progressing well with it. Why no love on the forum, though?

:D Glad to help! And thanks for your encouragement!

Yeah I really don't know why there's not any activity here, it's probably it's a matter of exposure and not enough people playing, I've been looking into ways to fix that.

Cheers and I'm glad you're enjoying the game!
