Did you like the graphics of the Shattered Origins demo? Did you have any performance issues? Should we tune that radial blur down? Tell us what you think!

Most 2d Graphics were made with Genetica 3.5 Studio, The only 2d assets not made with Genetica are the ship textures and the gui. (most of the inside of the hangar from the main menu is retextured in Genetica)

It was easiest for us to try and make all textures (And particles, and most icons for the game, as well as the animated cursor) in one program, where we could easy swap shapes and effects, and render at any resolution we wanted. That way we could test and optimise without having to upscale images, meaning loss of quality. The cubemaps and environments were also made in Genetica, and exported to DDS with Ati/AMD's Cubemapgen. The maps exported with Genetica were already seamless, but Cubemapgen also has additional features to make your reflections seamless and get them to look as intended.

I can post some work in progress materials if you guys and gals would like it (Or larger renders of 2d art from the game such as explosions etc). It'll come with a watermark, but gives you a glimpse in how this gam,e was made :).

Cheers!
