A classic plot with a world slowely being consumed by a dark force. Start your adventure as new arrival on the continent of Asgard, explore the world, customize your character, beat vicious monsters, befriend others, build your own houses, start your own clan and much more. We build the game as a true indie company with the community closely involved and if you have the skill you could even join the project and help build this (M)MOPRG.

Post news Report RSS Indigo fair 2011, it was a great experience

So for the last two days part of team Excalisoft (Johan, Nicky and Myself) have been exhibiting at the dutch Indigo Fair, a small convention with many new fresh (mostly indie) games on display. How was it? well summarized, it has been exhausting but very enjoyable at the same time. Nothing breaks you up then standing still nearly the entire day whilst showcasing.

Nothing breaks you up more then standing still nearly the entire day whilst showcasing. other then that we've received a good deal of reactions, mostly positive. It's never a bad thing for your ego to receive compliments and never a bad thing for your wits to receive critique.

As for how it was showcased, Sagramore was demoed on a 2-screened retrospace arcarde cabinet (both front and back). With a builtin keyboard and mouse and (well made) sound system. It was truly a great way to present your game. We had rushed many features and turned out to be good demo content, one nine year old girl even managed to play through all our demo content. With a few small bugs causing some problems, it was nothing that we couldn't fix within a few minutes.

Next to the usual chit-chat that comes with showcasing your game, we also had some interesting conversations and a few good contacts which can help show us in the right direction. As we've have been developing for a long time the team's focus has never been on marketing, distribution or sales. Which is an item that is slowly but surely is coming into play. To avoid fatal mistakes we have to take a good look at our fellow developers. Which is exactly what we got planned as we got a few invitations lying around. Overall I'm glad we did it and we got to witness this event unfold first hand.
I could get used to this :)

So last but not least I'd like to finish by expressing my thanks to all visitors for coming to watch us and of course the great people @ Dutch Game gardens for making this all happen! more info at Indigoshowcase.nl

ps. if I had to pick a favorite, I think i'd go with the projected care racing game.
