Really Big Sky! A super fast, twin analogue shooter for the modern age! Way over in the big void of space live some aliens. They coveted [your planet] and would do anything to live there themselves. So what's [your planet] to do? Yeah, blast through them all! Face off against waves of enemies, bosses, big laser planets, blackholes, wormholes, giant lasers, planets and asteroids across 11 game modes! Everything is procedurally generated from the way YOU play the game, from attack patterns, strength of bosses and enemies, pacing between waves, generosity of bonuses... etc! Features a comprehensive statistics system to let you hone your mad laser skills!

We've been working away on tightening up Really Big Sky's performance for a lot of users. We found the cause of the most common performance issue and totally crushed it! Go into the Options screen and disable the Performance Graph if you're having slowdown issues :)
We've also added customisable controls for both keyboard and controllers, increased the range of compatibility with non-Microsoft controllers.
Additionally there are new tracks from our resident musicians, rebalancing of some modes (in a good way, no nerfs!), boss kills now increase your multiplier.

It's a little past mid-January and I noticed there were a few people reporting about the controller issue of the controller being seen as another player other than player 1... I just wanted to say that around 12/23/2011 BossBison sent me a message with the following "We're looking into this for the next update. Unfortunately we built the game in Multimedia Fusion 2 so controller support is absolutely dire, we're trying to find ways around this problem now. The update should be ready in mid-January." Has anyone heard anything with regard to the update?
The bug is still there in the current version :-/.
DO NOT try to connect a pad ( xbox 360 in my case ) while the game is loading. its the second time i loose all my progress
Please release the sound track to buy separatly. Since I know that I missed it in an indie sale i feel terrible.
There is bandcamp for the indie titles. Or really anything I will buy (itunes, even a physical media if its available in europe).
I own the game on desura AND impulse (RIP) and I would gladly spend some more euros to buy the soundtrack.
Well actually even if the soundtrack is not sold separately I will buy it, just provide a version with the sound track. pretty please... with sugar on top :p.
Oh by the way if you have troubles with a joy pad, try to re launch the game with the pad powered. If it doesn't work, try changing the control method in the option menu. I'm not sure how i did it but the joypad bug can be avoided, try several configurations
i cant start a single player game with the xbox joypad, the control select screen only progresses when i hit enter and i wind up playing a co-op game as player 4, having to reach over to hit the mouse button to progress through the tutorial, i can't make it through the tutorial without rage quiting with the all-too-easy escape key insta-quit! also the spin thing doesnt activate with the joypad grr
I am having the exact same issue.
Me too - any ideas anyone?
Same issue here, but it just started today, it was working fine until I tried 2-player mode (with 2 controllers) and now it keeps registering my Onza to player 3 instead of 1... A regular 360 controller registers as P1 and I can't see any way of switching it back around. Also no idea why it skipped P2, unless it's thinking the KB is P2 o.0
Amazing game. Lots of fun.
