MicroWorld UID5 with Lama Block
Dec 5, 2012 Full Version 0 commentsThis is our last version before "Project Touché", this is another testing version; Now I wrote a LIST OF COMMANDs
It’s a game about placing blocks, moving, placing more blocks, farming, surviving and placing even more blocks. We decided to make this game to try doing new stuff and to have fun :)

It was almost a year ago when we decided to stop the development of MicroWorld to rewrite and enhance the code...
We have to say that MicroWorld was our first real project, and that we now understand that it had way too ambitious goals for us: a game such as this is difficult to make, as you have to face many obstacles that range from creating a realistic (and efficient) terrain-generation algorithm, to designing the AI for animals and enemies, or to tuning every part of the gameplay so it works well with the others, and so on...
So we officially announce the end of the MicroWorld development.
It may be that we'll make a game similar to MicroWorld, one day, if we ever get to know HOW to make it... in the meantime...
We are developing another game: an arcade called "Touché", which sounds much more promising than MicroWorld.
Sure, it is a different genre, and it has a different art style, but hopefully we will learn something from making it, and we will use that "something" to make even better games in the future.
We apologize with all the people who had showed interest for MicroWorld and we thank the ones that will follow the development of Touché.
Thanks!

This is Micro World ω 0.1, see news for other information about the game.
Oh cool, minecraft 2
minecraft, you copied it
looks awesome tracking =)
Why java?............
That's only a choice. We thought it would have been better for Micro World to be multi-platform without having to recompile it for every operating system. Anyways I'll port it when it reaches alpha.
Ideas are usefull, so if you can help us, you're welcome :)
As we said, we aren't real coders... this is only for fun! And, if you compare it to dwarf fortress... well... it means that you've never played dwarf fortress!
Hi guys god this is really similar to a thing I was designing (sad face) I noticed its marked as AAA when I think it is an Indie?
You are right... it was stupid to claim it to be so different from minecraft, or terraria... so every comparison has been deleted. It's clear that microworld is very similar to those games XD
what does it matter if it's similar? Minecraft made a whole genre popular and for games to based on that genre should be expected. otherwise, all games are copies of other games anyways, so stop complaining.
