Based on a true story.
But-- that’s not the question, the question is what are you going to do about it? Yes, you’re crazy. But so was your Father, your Mother, your Brother. So, if we’re being honest with each other, we can’t say we’re all that surprised are we? The visual hallucinations, the aural terrors, the sensory overloads… more daily routine for you than a burden! If anything, you seem to be almost thriving- in your own peculiar way...
Based on a true story, Masochisia is the enigmatic tale of a young man coming to grips with the fact that he will one day become a violent psychopath. Troubled by macabre visions, abusive parents, vicious monsters and unrelenting voices in your head, we must wonder: Can you survive these revelations? Can you embrace your fate? Or will you fight it? But then again- can anyone really change their fate? A point and click horror game with a strong focus on narrative- Masochisia is slated for release on October 9th, 2015. The game will launch globally on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux. Developed by Jon Oldblood, a lone developer battling his own demons and struggles with violence, the game is designed to make the player feel uncomfortable with their progressively-darker choices.
Masochisia is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Before I even played the alpha, i was already pretty excited because the stills and the video looked wonderful. After I played it, I got even more curious about the development of the game. It looks neat already, and the story looks like it could really take the game far. I love games like these (psychological with weird but amazing artwork and character designs) and I'm looking forward to more updates.
Just one issue that kind of bugged the experience was that if I'm not careful and I happened to place the cursor on one of the sides of the screen, it would immediately take me to the destination linked to that side. I know it's pretty minor and I'm mostly at fault (haha) but maybe of you could disable the auto navigation to different scenes, it would be better.
Again, I'm really excited to see progress on this.
Cheers and good luck!
@megalo-mix: Thanks for playing the alpha. Glad you enjoyed the experience and thanks for the feedback on the menu issues. We're working on correcting some of the issues people have sent in from the alpha and we do have plans for more demo's in the future, so stay posted.
I played this simple alpha, and it was simply amazing!Strong sound, strangely twisted visuals and a story about a psycopath? - Yes, please. I`m also glad that this game is not about some random person saving the world, its just too many of them. The game itself worked fine, but I couldn`t see main menu until I changed resolution(random clicking somehow helped me)So yeah... Good luck with this game =)
