A survival shooter set in Central Asia after the end of civilization.
Basically an animation of what the final HUD should look and operate like. (or at least what we're going for)

And just so that you're aware, SharpYe didn't invent freeaim.
i know this is out of subject, but in my opinion, u should place the model closer to the camera when u use ironsight
cuz when u use it, u place it on your shoulder, its closer to your vision (no **** sherlock)

Nope... I'd say that's actually fairly realistic.
Realism isn't making your view closer to the sights. Because perspective is such a bitch, aiming down sights will make the sights look pretty far away. Even moreso than the sights in the mod right now.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the DOF in the reload. It's looking pretty sweet. Only thing, there should be a button to bring up the HUD without reloading or anything. You know, to check you current ammo and health and whatnot. I couldn't tell by the vid if you already had something like that implemented or not.

Nice anims and hud, but the recoil of the ak74 is retarded, that should be on the higher caliber ak47 if you have one.

Nice work indeed. I would like to see some color in the hud symbols as well though for simplified recognition.
Oh god please tell me that this extremely unrealistic "weapon-eye delay" on aiming is selectable!
It's really the most unrealistic thing I've ever seen, in real life you first aim your weapon and then you look at where you are aiming? Or maybe the opposite? It's far more realistic to give a slight delay to the weapon movement, becouse you surely first look at your target and then you aim your weapon to it. Come on, noone in real life aim his weapon to a thing in the corner of his eye and then looks at it...
PS: I know that arma does this too, and I think exactly the same thing, it's an extremely odd aiming "feature".
Actually it works really really well in "Resistance and Liberation" and "red orchestra". It is for sure something I'd do in combat myself. You need to remember that you don't always calibrate your aims the second you look at your target - it's more of a "point gun at target, fire if he's seen you or calibrate your aims if he hasn't" thing, that is in fact quite realistic.
+making it a selectable feature wouldn't be good for the multiplayer balance.
So you all think it's normal to shoot without aiming? Oh god help your teammates... :P
IMHO the best compromise would be to delay the automatic alignment of the view, so if you move the mouse fast the weapon will move slightly before the view (like you would do in real life in frantic situations if you are helpless overwhelmed by enemies and you have to point and shoot as fast as you can) but if you move it slow enough your head will perfectly follow the weapon (like you should do all the times). It's very very odd to see someone slowly aiming to something at the corner of his eye while keeping his eyes at something else like it works now in this mod.
it works really well, and you get used to it very quick. i can aim and hit something from the hip with almost pinpoint accuracy now
I absolutely love the free aim in Resistance and Liberation, it's a matter of personal preference but I find it to be extremely useful. Having it here is fine in my opinion.
Can you please tell me why it's usefull? Becouse I really can't figure how it can be... No flame, I'm just curious becouse I'm unable to find one, what are the advantages of that kind of aim?

Always been a fan of minimalistic HUDs. Dont need or want loads of text and images taking up my view. I only want to see what is relevant when it is relevant.

Also, while the voice acting is good, it seems a bit odd to have him shout "reloading!" without any team mates around. He may as well be shouting "shoot me now, I'm vunerable!"

hmm, looks good, but why does he yell out his actions? i mean, isnt he on his own? its just a bit of an oddity to me
again, great video and i think it is refreshing to see a hud like this that only shows when you change from weapon.
i have one remark though, and that concerns the grenate. because all the other animations are so well i assume the pin would be pulled before the grenate was thrown. also because it has a rather large pin, what is ok, but it looked odd when it was thrown away with the pin in it.
but, this is not a real serieus issue to me, just thought i mention it.

Wasn't it so that you can wield two weapons, right?
When you switch from AK to Pistol, you most usually have a strap since there is nothing else where the AK can be attached to you, so when you switch to your pistol you don't put the AK away, you just drop it and take the pistol out. And when you take the pistol away, you put it away and then just take hold of the AK that was just hanging on you. Simple.
EDIT: Woops, seems like he does, not just the simple way. So either he has no two-point strap or he just likes the extra mile.
I know it's a WIP, but I think it would look a lot better if the hud faded into view and faded back out rather than moving up ?
