The game showed quite well and we received a tremendous outpouring of support from the public, including some very excited Kickstarter backers happy to see their donations put to good use! Some of you may have noticed that Justin Goby Fields visited our booth during the conference to create an alien for the game. Today we’re happy to announce that he and Ironklad Studios will be crafting all of the characters for Into the Stars. The team there have worked on several of the biggest blockbusters of the last year including Guardians of the Galaxy, Maleficent, Jupiter Ascending and Big Hero 6. Their fantastic contributions are already making their way into the game including our enemy faction, The Skorn:

These ruthless creatures are the ones responsible for the destruction of your home planet, ultimately sending you on the journey of Into the Stars. They are nothing more than a ravenous hive of scavengers who feast on the resources of planets before moving on, and they’re sure to terrify and excite you all when the game comes out this summer. Of course not everything they’ll be creating is evil, and as the game has a large number of Crew Members for you to choose from, we wanted to make sure that each of them was bursting with personality. Here’s a great example of the intrigue and diversity we’re shooting for with the Crew:
