Summary

The game revolves around the “Hypnos” research complex, taking its name from the Greek God of sleep. The complex has been researching ways to control the human brain at a distance while a person is sleeping. The main character is an ex-employee who is struggling to come to terms with the catastrophic accident that occurred there. After this disaster the main character started to suffer from chronic nightmares. At first he tried to avoid sleep in order to escape them, but this only succeeded in making him exhausted and weak.Still suffering from the nightmares and unable to live in a constant state of terror he decides to return to the complex to uncover the truth behind what really went wrong in the past. Slipping between reality and madness he returns to the place where it all began.

Episodes

Hypnos is split into two episodes.

Episode One:
The player will discover the origins of the Hypnos complex, how project "Hypnos" started and what preceded it. They will also meet the main character and begin to uncover his role in the project. The story will be told through visions of the past and in-game notes dispersed throughout the environment. Episode One is coming soon.

Episode Two:
The player will learn how project "Hypnos" was developed and reveal why the main character is tortured by guilt.
In this episode the true nature of the experiments that were tested in the Hypnos complex are unearthed; further illuminating the main character's past, uncovering his true identity and explaining how everything went so wrong.
After we release the first episode we intend to acquire further funds so that the second episode will be of a higher quality and explore the world we have created in more depth.

Gameplay Features

  1. First person exploration of detailed locations. Interact with the environment to open additional settings.
  2. Turn on lights to discover memories and explore hidden locations for secret notes.
  3. Highly immersive cut-scenes. As you read the in-game notes they are creatively interpreted into cinematic sequences.
  4. Creative puzzles.
  5. Dark and creepy atmosphere.
  6. Meet Ball, a mysterious character whose true motives are unclear. Is he an enemy or friend?
  7. Around two hours of gameplay

Patreon campaign

We have started a Patreon campaign to raise funds. We joined Patreon because it is not just usual web-site where you get money for presentation, give some reward for this to people and forget about it. In there we are not just giving our patrons a  reward in return but also connect with our audience, give them a chance to join our project, have a part in it and make the game better that people can really enjoy .

Progress that we made for this week:

1. The game is finally transferred from CryEngine 3.5.8 to Cry Engine 3.6. At the moment we are configuring the lighting and materials for the new renderer.

2. We are completing a new mini-location.
3. We have started elaborating a new location (A school classroom).
4. We have started a Patreon campaign to raise funds. We joined Patreon because there we don't just give our patrons a  reward in return but we also connect with our audience, give them a chance to join our project, take a part in it and make the game better, so the people can really enjoy.
