Want to explore the universe? Whether you enjoy the comfort of your own ship, the unforgiving surfaces of alien worlds, or derelict wrecks floating between the stars, Habitat has it all! Take on the role of an intrepid Astronaut, exploring, mining, and fighting to survive in a procedurally generated universe. Not only must you defend against enemies, but you must also shelter yourself from the harsh conditions of other worlds. Planning to hold up on a lava planet? Better pack those cooling units! Running out of air? Time to build more CO2 scrubbers! Tired of constantly fighting to survive in extreme environments? Well, in Habitat you can change the atmospheres of planets through "Terraforming". By carefully tinkering with the composition and density of the air, through mechanical or biological means, you can turn sterile worlds into Earth-like paradises! The adventure begins here, but who knows where it'll end!

Post news Report RSS Kickstarter in two weeks!

Habitat is preparing for its Kickstarter on February 8th. At the same time, we've been adding new features and visuals to the game. We want to pretty it up before its big debut!

We've been busy polishing up the game and adding functionality before the Kickstarter. Starting February 8th, the Kickstarter will run for about a month, during which time we'll raise money to keep developing Habitat! There'll be lots of fun prizes and deals to be had, so keep an eye out for us.

Despite all the preparations for the Kickstarter, it hasn't managed to slow down development. This week I've been busy adding the player's astronaut to the game. Through him you'll walk, build, and fight.

I think the best part about procedurally generating your content, is getting to explore the universe in your own game. For example, I found these two planets I thought were particularly pretty!

The trailer for the Kickstarter is being lovingly crafted by our Musician, Ian Earle, and we can't wait to see what he comes up with! We'll be announcing the launch of our Kickstarter here first, so make sure to track our game!
