raceone Contest! [Ended] Thread - Gentrieve 2

Hey all,

The first Gentrieve 2 contest is here! Start a specific generator game with the name raceone (in all lower caps, the world should start out pink) and complete the game as fast as possible! Make sure you are using v1.11 & have "Video Stats" enabled in the Effects. Then, record yourself playing and reply with YouTube links here to enter :-) You can enter multiple times & winners will be posted on my website with links you your YouTube video, channel and more! Won't that make for really long videos?

Welp, this is the first contest, so this is also an experiment on what works best. The goal is to make what you'd think would be a long video as short as possible (by going to just the doors that progress the game, only killing enemies that are right in your way etc.). Once I get some time, I'll give a go at the contest and post my time. I'm planning "full game" contest videos to be 20-40 minutes long, but I'm not really sure yet... first contest and all

Yeah, I think you might need to restrict the number of items on the generator to shorten the level but we will see

Oh, I found an exploit btw.

If you go through a room full of enemies to a save room, save game. When you load game and leave the enemies have all vanished.

I did it first time accidentally (died, reloaded - enemies gone) so I then tried it deliberately and it works...save, reload...all enemies gone.

I'm going through the "raceone" and it is pretty long (and pretty difficult!) -- but I'm 75% done, I think. I found an odd room that requires you to go through a poison pit... have to see what happened there. Thank you for the exploit report!
